Situated south of Chichester, West Sussex the garden covers an area of roughly Three and a half acres. Developed over a period of 20 years it now incorporates a number of different gardens blending into one another via wide expanses of grass.
Originally the whole site was a commercial glasshouse nursery. However, with changing times in the horticultural industry the glasshouses have been moved, opening up areas for the creation of the gardens you can see today.
From the laying out of a small patio the garden has evolved over the years without any specific design in mind. Different themes have developed as plants, trees and shrubs become mature and other inspirations take hold.
At Mazegarden we have been pleased to open, over the last ten years, in aid of Perennial which is the only UK charity dedicated to helping horticulturists in need. The charity provides a range of support services for all who work in the industry including arborists, market gardeners, glasshouse growers, groundsmen and green keepers, nurserymen and of course, gardeners.
